I wish more poor people would understand what these guys have figured out. The liberals give them just enough to keep their votes, and keep them poor.

Not just minorities, either...

The problem is there is really no alternative. Let's not fool ourselves into thinking conservatives give a **** sbout poor people and want to help them.

No one in power really gives a crap about the have nots.

Give a man a fish or teach a man to fish.

You decide.

That's a false choice when the other option is neither to teach them or give them.

I will agree that neither the dems or reps really care, but one PRETENDS to care in order to garner votes.

Kinda of tired hearing how the haves need to care for the have nots. Seems if the have nots cared more would be haves. Not a whole lot of sympathy for those whose choose to rely on others to do what they should do themselves.

I'm not saying anyone should or shouldn't. I'm just saying they don't.

Both parties pander and pretend to care though. If you don't think the republicans do (no talking to anyone specific) you haven't been listening to the Paul Ryan bs. The teach to fish cliche when used in politics falls in the same boat. when sincere the cliche rings true. Since ehen is politics sincere?

Of course they do. Which is why I am have been for 31 years a registered independent. The party system is nothing more than a way to consolidate power. Politicians for the most part must be of one or the other if they wish to be elected. Once a whore it's hard to find anyone who will take you for anything but. If one wants to be reelected they must continue to prostitute themselves for whatever cause enabled them.

you're confusing Willie Galt with Danny Partridge. Totally different wide receiver.

Danny Partridge was a boxer. I think you're thinking about Richie Cunningham the receiver for the Washington Redskins.

Why teach a man to fish when you can spend the money that would take to buy the dynamite necessary to eliminate people who can't afford to buy their own damned fish!
