Sad, really. Yemen became one of my pet projects about 18 months ago. As I started learning more about what we were doing there, I said that Yemen would either be our greatest success in the region, or the world's next failed state. South Sudan and Central African Republic are giving it a run for it's money to fulfill the latter, but it looks like President Hadi's ouster may push Yemen over the edge for the "win". It's a shame, there was some great work that went on there over the last few years. As they say, you can lead a horse to water...but you can't make it kick terrorists in the face. Or something like that.
