I know Bud or Rick may have the answer for me here...I have taken several photos with my digital camera but they are to large (no jokes here guys, oh hell, go ahead, especially you X. I know you want to!) to download to the site.

I've tried taking photos in 'email' mode, but I think those are too big too. No diet/workout comments either, LOL!

What is the trick?

Whatever 'photo program' you have to view them on your monitor, will usually have a 'resize' tab. I use MGI PhotoSuite (the Photo Shop Bud sent me, I never could get it installed) ...

Then, what I do, is keep cutting it in size by quarters, and try to send it, until it takes it.

The very large photos you are getting from you camera, are most likely due to the shot being taking at the highest resolution (most megapixels) which make better 8x10 photos.

Try taking pictures at the lowest setting the camera will give you ... and see if that works.

What photo software are you using?... most will have a resize option. I have used several over the years and most all can reduce the image size and quality to enable them to be posted on the web. E-mail me if you need more specifics...

If you are not able to resize them after the fact you can do this. The next time you take pics choose a lower resolution mode. The camera may tell you the remaining number of pics. The higher the number, the lower the resolution. Most people can barely use the basic picture viewer so if you can't figure out how to do complex things on your first try don't sweat it.Good Luck

Hey thanks for the info...I realize now that I don't have the software that came with it (last year) installed. Haven't gotten into using the camera much.

My cd-rom isn't working properly at the moment and I think it may be the power supply? Anyway, just another thing to add to the list. Thanks again for your responses as usual. I know I can count on you guys for anything...
