Now that we are settling in, I have started a routine at the smoke pit. Since my crew is flying nightshift, I usually arrive at the smoke pit on my non-flying days at 1 am. Right now I have a pretty sizable tuperware container full of cigars (the coolerdors are too big and the smoke pit too far to carry out every night) that I carry along with a bag with my sounddock and cigar accessories. The first night, I had some of the guys from my crew that met me at the smoke pit and we enjoyed some nice cigars. Once done, I walked around the (fairly large) smoking area and offered up cigars to all the folks out there. I had some takers. The next night, I did the same thing and had some more takers. Last night, I was out there by myself and someone from the previous night stopped by and asked if he could have another cigar...of course he could. A few minutes later he came back and said one of his buddies was too chicken to come ask me for one and could he have one for the other guy. So, I promptly said NO and then got up and went over to their group and asked who was the chicken $hit that wouldn't come ask for a cigar....then proceeded to pass out cigars to all the guys in the group. An hour later, I am finishing up and another guy walks up and says "I heard you were the guy with cigars". "Why, yes I am. Would you like one?"
So, long story short. I am that guy!!!! With all your guys' help, I am single-handedly distributing as many cigars as I can. Lots of happy troops.
Thanks.
David.
