There's pieces strewed everywhere - none bigger than 1'x1'. Looks like confetti.

The news is saying it crashed into a mountainside. No words from the cockpit before the crash.

2+2 = 27 here.

Why is this in Politics?
Was it Obama's fault?

Because the reported reason for the crash seems very implausible.

Hope you're sitting down...I don't think Obama has anything to do with it...

I do think the stinky story has a lot to do with the other crews refusing to fly though.

What reason are you referring to? I have not heard a single one.

Let's at least wait until there is evidence in the form of the boxes before jumping to conclusions. We'll know more in a couple more days.

They have the boxes, there were no recorded voices immediately pre-crash. Not good.

They reported that the plane crashed into a mountainside. They further went on to say it was not a rapid decompression or explosion. They did not offer an explanation as to why there were itsy-bitsy pieces of airplane scattered over a seemingly one-mile circle, which is what the video showed.

A crash into a mountainside would look like a smoking hole on the side of a mountain. And the tail, engines and landing gear would be mostly intact. The video didn't show any of those items - though maybe they have been removed alrerady.

Flight crews refusing to fly after an accident is so rare, I've never even heard of it before...somethings up.

Odd that US TV media is telling a very different story. Now NT Times is reporting one pilot was locked out of the filght deck:

Investing in pitchforks and torches is a bad move. Sure, they will act like they want to buy them but when it comes right down to it their outrage will subside and they'll pull up a chair and watch American Idol....or NASCAR....or Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

The last I read about this, the co-pilot locked the pilot out and purposely crashed it into the mountain. No idea on the motive. Based on a note in his wastebasket, he was hiding an illness from the airline and a doctor had declared him unfit for work. I don't think this is any kind of grand conspiracy.

I think it all boils down to I've never trusted any german pilot since they bombed pearl harbor and stuff.

C'mon, Joker....really. You don't really think his doctor actually wrote that note, do you? We'll be awash in conspiracy theories in no time. I think it was pizzed off anti-austerity Greeks who want to strike out at Merkel.
