Why is there such a limited selection of cigars on cbid? I noticed that some of my favorites are not on here.

MAP pricing it maybe the end of Cigarbid as we know it. Even the other brands have slid off the map here other then some singles from time to time and others such as Padron are gone Tats have thinned out too.

what? Banned for what? I am just curious why the selection is not that big. It seem Drew estate is represented well but not so much for other brands.

Also, what is map pricing?

Dont worry, you wont get banned unless you speak one of the 567 forbidden words or use otherwise non-forbidden words in an arrangement that suggests you are talking about a forbidden subject even if you use no forbidden words. There are only about 5 forbidden topics so keep clear of those. There is no list of forbidden words or forbidden topics but you will know when you step in it. Of course it will be too late then.

Have fun figuring out how to navigate this forum. There are lots of knowledgeable cigar freaks here. Be prepared for typical noob questions such as "which do you prefer waffles or pancakes?" And then there is a word that should be on the banned list - "thonginator".

As far as MAP pricing, it seems that when a manufacturer doesn't want to sell for a discount anymore, no one bids and they quit putting them on auctions at some point. Manufactured advertising pricing (MAP) is what the manufacturer tells Cbid it needs minimum....sometimes close to retail!

I see. Makes sense i suppose but with trade relations improving with the ISOM i think/hope their tune might change.

I shall keep clear of such unknown topics and words henceforth and stick to vanilla chatter..

So how bout them Bears?

I like the bears, but they don't seem to want me to see them. We have about 12 bear sightings a year here, but I never get to see them other than photos and videos.
