like the most
think is the coolest
have as a keepsake
use the most
are proudest of
Whatever.
Tell us about that one item.

2 things.

a box press with 15 shelves in perfect condition.

a cigar server from the 30's used at private clubs to carry an assortment of cigars to the table for the diners to make their selection.

By far MY favorite cigar accessory has to be the 2 fine gentlemen whom I've meet here, Jim and Jimmy respectively, that I've had 'access' to while smoking, talking, thinking cigars. I mean that with the utmost respect...but everyone always adds more accessories as time goes by so who knows? See, and you thought you were just a piece of meat. Betcha didn't know you were also in the accessory catergory! LOL!

A little portable tv/vcr that goes outside or to the garage with me when I spark one up.
That and a cool Colibri torch/cutter that was gifted to me.

Man ... hey Jim's, just curious again.

Now that you are not just a 'piece of meat', how does it feel to also be an accessory?

Which, by definition, means a 'nonessential addition' ... LOL!

I know E-Chick ... you meant that with the utmost respect ...

I was given a Colibi lighter with a cutter on the bottom. It is both beautiful and functional. I also really like my torch lighters, I have a couple of different types. I guess you could say my favorite cigar stuff is lighters...thats the firebug in me.

Hmmmmmmmmm? Accessory:
1)A supplementary part:adjuct
2)Something nonessential but useful or decorative.
3)One who aids or abets a lawbreaker in the commision of a crime but is not present at the time of the crime.Hmmmmmm,I guess I'd be decorative then.LOL

I still have the first cheapo plastic cutter that I bought, other than that I'm pretty impressed with my Sherman 30 count traveldor.Oh yeah I scored one of those electric cigar cutters for the guy who has everything, works too.

Good stuff so far. I like the TV idea. I have often wanted to put one of the spares near the front yard for that purpose. But, I also have wanted to install a beach in the living room. I just crack open the patio door and turn the volume up while I am on the patio. I am surprised no one has mentioned some of the motif lighters etc that are out there.

E-Chick ... it finally dawned on me, that you don't know what threadjaking means. Now it all makes sense.

What I said was in full context with the flow of the post, and what is being said here.

A threadjack is when the subject is totally changed ... and doesn't fit in with what is being talked about.

OK ...

My OtterBox's (I have two sizes) ... and are the same as JJ's Sherman, with someone elses logo on it. I couldn't live without them ... and use them all the time.

The others are my Cigar Savor, and Teak Wood V-Cutter.

Oh yeah ... and my Trifecta triple-flame lighter.

Slim, Just my opinion. It takes two or more to threadjack. Someone has to change the subject and then another has to write about the new subject. Which then leads to more posts about the unrelated item. If one person talks about an out of subject item, a threadjacking has not occured. So technically, E-Chick can not be accused of this crime alone. You are now officially a thread jacker Slim, because this thread has a new subject! Threadjacking.

ROTFLMAO!!! ... but I disagree. The person who changed the subject in the first place, is the threadjacker. Threadjacking is jumping in a thread, and taking it off in a different direction.

All the others who follow, just make it worse.

Sorry. I thought this was a thread about highjacking;o)

What I meant to say, my favorite cigar accessory has to be my screened patio with all the tropical plants and flowers and table and chairs.

my two favorite cigar accessories are my senses of smell and taste. all the cutters, ashtrays, and lighters in the world can't help you without these.

my grandma was threadjacked at the k-mart once; before she could get that yarn for her krocheting; some other old woman, who could walk a little faster, got there first; she came home to tell us about it and i had to leave the room to laugh; she was so mad...when back and gave her a big hug and told her to let me go with her next time and i'll hit em down low and she could make a bee-line for the thread...love ya grandma, rest in peace;
my favs are my macallan, prometheus cutter (on cbid), my newly acquired and yet to be modified otter box (nice, really nice, drooling over it last night), and any one i'm lucky enough to have smoke with me.

LOL..You guys are nuts...It DOS suck to hear about Charlton (whom I admire a lot)
My fav accessory (which I rarely use anymore) is a small Bic lighter (disposable) with the Habanos logo on it...It hardly has any more fluid in it but the reason it's my most cherished cigar accessory is that I got it while on my honeymoon in 1999..I'll keep it forever!

My new toy from CB. Just got my Swiss Army Knife (golfer) with a cigar cutter. Just broke it in tonight. Man, I like that thing. Nice little snipper. Did a 50 ring clean as heck.

No, it's not refillable..sucks...Almost forgot, my other regular favorite accessory that I actually use is the Csonka Traveldor (Thanks Slim!)!...It holds four cigars of various sizes snugly, has a nice leatherlike outside, and has a nice humidifying element inside that's refillable (unlike my Habanos bic lighter..LOL

BTW, that's genuine Napa leather, Keith ... which reminded me of one of my other favorite toys ...

... and that's my Csonka Automotive Smoker Cloaker. That sucker really works ... it's incredible.

I used it on my vacation, and with the window cracked a little (which sucked through the desert, as it also sucked out the cool air) to direct out the major volume of the smoke ... my wife (who hates the smell of cigars) said she barely noticed that I was smoking.

That's one powerful little device ...

Wenger Swiss Army Pocket knife/cigar cutter. Best cut ever, and a great knife for those of you who carry one. I will eventually include my Otterbox, but I've only used it once thus far. Expect a lot more use in the near future.

My best accessory is the "draw poker". I always use it for all my smokes. Never a hard draw from any cigar. Of course I have had a few cigars split but I usually figure they were either too tight to begin with or a little too dry.

Interesting thread ... you guys make me realize I don't HAVE a favored accessory, unless I count the best of my humidors ... mine have always been nothing more than utilitarian ... my cutter gets the job done, my lighter lights my 'gars, but maybe I need to get busy and acquire a high-quality lighter or cutter (both?) or whatever ... I gotta agree with the general tone of this thread, that nice accessories really enhance an experience ... and I've reached a point in life where I've decided I don't want to settle for second best any longer ... I'm either gonna go first class or not go ... so, I'm watching this thread with no small interest in order to learn what the consensus of the group is regarding all the various accessories

I have the Xikar and love it they fit nicely in your pocket and they are also lifetime guaranteed,I have the Swiss Army knife cutter on the way from c-bid,should be here any day and these cut very nice as well.I must say however that possibly the sharpest cutter I have ever tried is the Palio.Steve if you decide on the Palio you can usually find them for about $35 they retail for something crazy like $70.

I got my Swiss Army knife w/ cutter at a good price. Less than half retail. I don't want to influence bidding, I might want another as a spare ha ha. Okay, here's my shopping list from this thread: Cigar-poker and Otter Box. Any recommendations on good, but cheap, blue flame lighters? Man it seems I can't get my hands on one here that doesn't bid close to retail or higher. I'm unsure of the quality of some of these, sight unseen. Maybe that can be my newest favorite accessory. I've had a couple, but they don't seem to work well or for very long.

Rayder ... send me your addy and I'll send you mine in return ... I can get you a torch lighter that'll set you back less than $20, including s/h and even has a life-time guarantee ... anything goes wrong, they don't fix it, they replace it with a brand-new lighter ...

gg7 - I have a wireless network as well, but my company paid for it. Unfortunately though, my roof deck is in SF, and it's too damn cold and windy here to smoke and type outside!! It's below 50 degrees right now!!

cwilhelmi - Cool! It is a nice thing to have and you do get addicted to the freedom very quickly. I tend to work outside a good portion of the time during the summer using this system. Sure beats working in a hot office!

SF as in San Francisco? I thought it was warm down there in the summer?

bzzzzzzzttttt

sorry, that is incorrect. Mark Twain is reputed to have said that the coldest winter of his life was a summer in San Francisco ... whether he actually said that or not, it is an absolute fact. I live 35 miles away, but work here in The City ... it has been HOT (upper 90s) at my house in the daytime, quite warm at night. But, at lunchtime, I will wear my coat when I go out ... I'll bet it's no more than low 60's out there right now.

I had a softball game that started at 6pm last night, by the time the game started it was in the 50s. Our real summer starts in August/September and last through October. These are the warmest months of the year, and the highs are still rarely over 85. It's the crazy bay effect. go check weather.com, it does a decent job of showing the weird weather... chris

The temperature in SF has less variation from the mean than any other large city in the world ... the same condition that causes it to be far cooler in The City in summertime that it is at my home only 35 miles away will also cause it to be warmer here in winter ... and Chris is right ... October will be the warmest weather of the year ... any of you planning to come here to ride a little cable car half way to the stars and leave your heart high on a hill will be well advised to do so in October ...

An old question here asks "how can you spot the summertime tourists in SF?" ... (answer: they're the ones wearing shorts and goosebumps)

I guess its all relative!

Although we are looking for a record high today (over 91 in Seattle) generally, anything above 60 degrees can be considered T-shirt and shorts temperatures! ;o)

woudn't a person who responds to a threadjackers off subject post be an accessory?? does that make me an accessory? or am I the subject again because we all smoke cigars and I'm talking about accessories. My favorite cigar accessory is a lockpick tool .. you'd be amazed at how cheap cigars are when no ones in the store :) J/K. I like my Colibri Shark lighter.. I want a triple flame trifleca (or whatever).
