In a recent thread entitled 'gambling' on the "Sports" page, GetYourOwn suggested predicting the Super Bowl winners with each participant contributing to a "cigar pot" for the ultimate winner ... responding to his thought, I suggested a weekly pool, much like I and probably most of you have participated in at work or elsewhere at one time or another ... then, to call attention to the idea, I made a reference to it on the Cigars/Related page in a thread entitled 'pool party' ... so far, Rickamaven, Cruiser, Tailgator, Guv and CWilhelmi have replied that they like the idea and would like to participate. However, since the idea of a pool would be of much greater interest and a far greater success if the pool of participants were to be at least double, if not triple or quadruple, the 6 (counting me) so far, I've tried to call attention to the idea again, using a more descriptive headline ...

The NFL season will get underway in just more than 3 weeks ... so far, there are 6 of us ... tailgater, Rickamaven, Guv, cigarsmoke, donutboy2000 and myself, have expressed interest in participating in a weekly pool with each person in the pool sending a cigar to the person who picks the most games right ...
