I was fortunate to have lived at the Jersey Shore from 4th grade(1975) through freshman year of college(1984). I spent every summer fishing with my dad, eyeballing every girl on the beach and making my mother nervous while I skimmed across the beach on my skimboard. I loved every minute of everyday being a complete beach bum!!! It was a sad day when my dad lost his job with Prudential and my parents moved to PA. Those were the days my friends, I wish they never ended but I am eternally grateful that I had them.
Moonie . . .
I was talking about the BEACHES (literally), as in the SAND . . . NOT the "Beach Towns".
Delaware beaches have nasty, course, yellow, gritty sand, kinda like commercial sandbox sand.
Jersey beaches have soft, fine, white sand. NO COMPARISON !
Delaware Beach TOWNS . . . now THAT's a different story.
I dated a girl from Delaware for three years back in my early twenties, and we had MANY a wild time in Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach.
