Sadly, I've spent a lot of time thinking about the upcoming election.
Sadly, because it's really, really early in the process to be doing that and I have hunting and fishing trip in a month; ain't no-body got time that.
So. Here's MY opinion. I'd be hurt if there wasn't a ****-ton of dissent. Don't let me down, fellas. If you could state your case with some level of logic/detail, that'd be great. Or you could just call names. Pretty much what I expect.
Ok, so the election boils down to Trump and Clinton. The Libertarian (or any other party candidate) is nothing but a waste of time and effort.
Well.....frankly, I live in California, so pretty much everything I do is a waste of time and effort, but I digress. And, actually, now I think about it, only 4 or 5 STATES have any uncertainty. Hmmm. We, the people, should probably do something about that too...but again, I digress. Easily distracted at times, I suppose (Squirrel!).
So...Trump. Of the most least qualified, unknowledgeable candidates in my lifetime, it'd be this guy. His ideas are inflammatory, his rhetoric divisive. He's amateurish and childish. He tweets like my teenage daughter. It's insane NOT to expect better from any of our leaders, much less someone looking to be the President of our country.
And...don't give me this bullsh!t that that's his appeal--he's on the outside. He's not civil, for God's sake. He acts like a 5 year old at times. Look, I've heard him speak years ago. Look up his old appearances on Oprah or Phil Donahue. He had clarity, he spoke with a modicum of eloquence. What the hell happened?
The nonsense of him name calling during the primaries and then responding to Marco about the size of his hands (Jesus Christ, he f*cking said ON NATIONAL TELEVISION, that he had a big ******. Are you f*cking kidding me?), as well as responding to everything else completely over the top. It's embarrassing. I truly expect more.
And the economy. Sure, it's been good to him, he's taken advantage of it, FOR HIS GAIN. How would that translate to everyone else? I know I'm sure as **** not going to be a Billionaire, unless I invent something. But he does know how money works, how jobs work, at least much more than the opposition. Speaking of which....
And then, I look over at Hillary. She's just a typical slimy (yeah, I know, I said I wouldn't call names, but let me explain) politician. She's completely out of touch with any of the American people (well....not sure how much Trump knows the travails of the people, but that's not his platform), while giving $21M in speeches to Wall Street/Banks/other organizations. She promotes herself as the fighter for the little people, but her policies, man....hard to put her on anything, as she's agreed with her husband, then reverses it with Obama, then reverses again to win points (see the Crime Bill that husband Bill did).
But...my impression is, she considers herself above the 'normal folk'. I work in IT. I know about email servers, what's on the Internet and how to block stuff. I know what 30k email deletion actually means. Her comments to America about Benghazi and the families, and then the email to her kid and the regional leaders. She just lied man. Just flat out lied.
She parses words--**** like 'marked Confidential'--I also worked for the Feds and I had a Nato Secret clearance. You don't reclassify stuff. It's Secret from the get-go. She's responsible for handing of classified material, and buddy....she f*cking failed that. Her emails...ALL of her emails, even what she claims as personal....are the property of the American people. BECAUSE she had the 'personal' server, you cannot co-mingle **** like that. It's all our, folks. And she deleted them. Knowingly and intentionally. Again, you may quibble with words...like she had Sheryl Mills do it; but bottom line, the buck stops with her. SHE'S the one ultimately responsible for everything, and she's tried to stay clean on all of the questionable issues (Like with a cloth).
And this, to me, is the issue. She doesn't think the laws apply to her. What else man? More executive actions that CREATE new law? Either directly or indirectly (like, don't have the DOJ go after anyone...doing whatever, but say illegal immigration); I have zero faith that she would uphold the Constitution.
She'd be a weaker global leader than Obama. She's proven that by her inactions and f*ckups as Sec of State. I have no doubt ISIS will continue their attacks on our country's soil, while Hillary decides to take guns away from everybody. And, we'd probably end up like Chicago or DC.
And then there's the economy. What the literal hell would be her policies? Oh yes. She said she'd have Bill do that. What the f*ck man. You run for President, but you have no clue on how to fix the economy, so you won't weigh in on it. She doesn't have a clue man. She'd be a front for those who actually run the Democrat party. And, I'm not voting for them, there's no vetting them. It's her.
And the whole woman card. Sure, elect a woman...but one who's qualified. I'm not a fan of the past 7.5 years, and I know little who are. Why elect her? Oh, it's time. We need a woman. No, man. We don't. We NEED someone who can fix the **** that's broken and do less damage than has been done.
So.
It boils down to A.B.C.
Anybody. But. Clinton. Because as maybe bad as Trump would be (and I don't know, he might be decent/good), Clinton would be exponentially worse. She'd throw the country into the ****ter, and make sure she gets millions from doing it.
