Anybody keeping up with the BREXIT movement in the UK?

Seems some people are rebelling against their assimilation into the Borg... I mean the one world government...

...or something.

The news yesterday was that the Brits would stay in - and the stock market reacted favorably.

That proves nothing but the stock market does not like uncertainties. Says nothing about the real issues for staying or leaving.

The brits will stay along with Eastern Europe. Such a shame; I would rather the a slavic coalition that could hold its own against Russia. Slavs are generally pro-gun while the rest of Europe is not.

Some people really want a boarder less world.

In that group you have slaves and slave masters looking for a monopoly.

This is some whack community organizing I tell you!

"Obama’s advice may have pushed some voters to “leave.” In April, he warned British voters they would be at the “back of the queue” in trade with the U.S. if they left the EU. Some, like Andrew Roberts, took offense, writing in the Wall Street Journal:

Surely—surely—this is an issue on which the British people, and they alone, have the right to decide, without the intervention of President Obama, who adopted his haughtiest professorial manner when lecturing us to stay in the EU, before making the naked threat that we would be sent “to the back of the queue” (i.e., the back of the line) in any future trade deals if we had the temerity to vote to leave.

Was my country at the back of the line when Winston Churchill promised in 1941 that in the event of a Japanese attack on the U.S., a British declaration of war on Japan would be made within the hour?

Were we at the back of the line on 9/11, or did we step forward immediately and instinctively as the very first of your allies to contribute troops to join you in the expulsion of the Taliban, al Qaeda’s hosts, from power in Afghanistan?

Or in Iraq two years later, was it the French or the Germans or the Belgians who stood and fought and bled beside you? Whatever views you might have over the rights or wrongs of that war, no one can deny that Britain was in its accustomed place: at the front of the line, in the firing line. So it is not right for President Obama now to threaten to send us to the back of the line."

I seriously doubt that Obama's comments had a significant impact on the vote to leave the EU. The Brits that I know could care less about what Obama or Trump or any other American politician has to say about their internal affairs. This is an issue only on Breitbart's website. I did see that Trump is in Scotland and he thinks it's great because the pound is tanking and it should make his golf course more affordable to the US. Nothing like being glad that our largest everything partner in the world is likely going to go into a recession as long as his personal income goes up.

The Brexit vote is the same as the Trump vote.
It is a classic Protest Vote.

Don't expect Shillary and the Demonrats to figger it that way.

I keep hearing that and that it's a win for trump but didn't hear that before the results. interesting. I don't really think trump figures in to it much.

That is the beauty of it. Trump does not figure into the Brexit vote.
But the movement is a disgruntled grassroots groundswell popping up like whackamole all over the globe.
Status Quo Establishment Politicians are getting nervous.

Will Texas secede next?

This could get fun!

Yes, I think it is part of that same grassroots kind of thing.

Time will tell who benefits.
But it certainly is bad news for status quo politicians!

After just a few days, we really don't know all the ramifications. The Brits want a re-vote, Scotland is talking about becoming independent and staying in the EU. Who knows how much instability will affect worldwide markets ?

WOW.

Called it and lived to not say "I told ya so", but proved exactly why he believed what he did 17 years ago and hasn't waivered.

BRAVO.

The dude rubs it in their face, insults all of them, then asks them to be pragmatic and reasonable. I love it. It's stupid but I love it.
