I don't post in this Forum, and I don't read the threads either.
But I've been wondering how in the heck we ended up with our two presidential candidates.
It's almost incomprehensible.
So, who to vote for, given one is to choose between the two of them.
Sick
So my question to all you really smaaaht political commentators is:
Which of our two candidates, will our competitors, adversaries, and enemies fear more, and why?

Trump.... they've walked all over Obama and they'll do the same to Hillary if she gets in... if you draw a line enforce it... Bush drew a line and Saddam crossed it... results are debatable for sure but we didn't show weakness.... Mellow

Killary is just a continuation of democratic party march to the lowest common denominator. Like all things political, you build relationships and debts to get what you want, Killary apparently has a big enough account to get folks to overlook her past. Her ego says she knows what is better for all of us and wants to be in charge of every aspect of life.

Trump, decided he doesn't like the way things are run in DC. He knows the rules, he openly admits he has paid politicians of both parties to gain influence. Either he is sick of paying, thinks it's unfair to be required to pay or wants to become the boss of bosses, but that ambition scares the crap out of the old guard of both parties. They have been playing the voters with fake issues and distractions for years. They occasionally allow one or the other approved party members to control the parliament of whores, Congress, and to occupy the Whitehouse.

Because Trump threatens the DC insiders, he is being called everything and anything up to and including the antichrist. Oh, and he is bombastic and has a HUGE ego. That said, he knows how to be a leader, exactly the job of the POTUS.

Intersting, and well said.
I actually fear for Trump's life. I hope he wears a vest at all times, and picks his spots. It appears as though too many want him "out" of the equation, and not just here in this country.

I concur. Unless it's all smoke and mirrors it appears Trump is not a member of the club and that may be the only way for the establishment to regain control.

Trump wears a girdle and needs an hour or so for makeup. He is definitely mentally unstable and dangerous. We got this way because the GOP has turned in to the party of hate and lies and needs to be rejected.

I have had the same thought myself, as long as he doesn't want to audit the Federal Reserve Bank he should be OK.

It's not the haters of blacks it the professionals hired by big money and Obama continued the 'normal' DC game just as his sponsors told him.

certainly not a member of either, but rather a controlling buyer of each...worse in my opinion.

So, instead of throwing you anti-Hillary vote somewhere that might make a difference you're gonna vote for an illegal drug user... if the Trump or Hillary had admitted that the press would be all over them.... Mellow

How is it throwing away your vote to vote for the candidate that best represents you and what you think is best constitutionally?

I have previously described myself as a liberaltarian, which I think is quite accurate for my amalgamation of issue by issue beliefs. I won't vote Hillary because she appears to be an awful person with a wide ranging amoral compass. I suspect Trump is more liberal than she, but I won't vote Trump for pretty much the same reasons as HC. Looked at Gary Johnson (that's his name, right?), but he has some views it's difficult for me to get past, so no option there. Looked at Jill Stein - see previous comments on Johnson. I find myself in a political pickle without many options left.

Of course, living in a state that will overwhelmingly vote Trump, as well as one where I had ask three times to get a Democratic primary ballot (the first two the ignored my request and gave me Republican - but, hey, only Dems do stuff like that, right?), I'm pretty sure my vote for President won't change much.

do you trust Trump with this pick? He also might have a lot to win or lose.
Congress should have looked into Obama's pick. He may have been the right one.

Drafter, I don't vote 3rd party to feel better, I vote 3rd party because I believe the candidate is the best choice. I do understand your point, but it is not the most important point for me. The most important point for me is voting for who I feel is the best choice. My beliefs align the closest with the Libertarian party.

I like a lotta what the libertarians have to say also... but it's just not gonna happen. .. meanwhile we have to play defense. ... the third party votes may not make the difference. .. but it would suck if it did. . I'll still love you guys no matter what... I'm just offering my thoughts. .. Mellow

I am strongly leaning towards Johnson, as well. I fully understand, Drafter. I don't make this choice lightly. But, I cannot, in good conscience, vote for either Trump or Clinton. Won't do it. I agree that Johnson cannot win. But, I do think that every percentage point that he gets can put this country closer to considering a third party. At this point very few people can conceive of it. There was a slight swell after Perot's showing, but it has all but disappeared. I don't care if a party that I totally disagree with sprouts up because of it. I want the electorate to get past the either/or. I'd bet 90% of all voters that already decided long, long ago (whether they know it or not) that they were going to vote for their party's nominee no matter who it was. That depresses me.
