Thanks to everyone for their well-wishes, prayers, etc for my father and I..The kidney transplant was an immediate success!...It took immediately without any assistance from drugs, etc producing 1 1/2 quarts of urine immediately!...I got home yesterday afternoon (a little sore) and he will be getting out tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon...He was already doing numerous laps faster than me, while I was following behind using the railing walking ever-so gingerly..LOL...Unbelievable....BTW, Hospital food sucks but pain meds (morphine and percodset) are great!
Thanks again all..Ill be back home (im IL) in about three weeks!

Great to see you back. I am extremely happy the operation went well. I told you that your dad will feel 100% better then you. It will take time. How many days in the Hospital for you? Don't forget to drink a lot of water forever. The last thing you want is to ever get a kidney stone in the only one you have! LOL Welcome to the club. Don't hurry back to work.

Have they weaned you off the morphine and got you on the Tylenol 3's yet? If you can talk the doctor into some T-3's.....get some. They go great with a beer.

aaaaa I ..have become...comfortably numb. Hope u feel better soon.
