This review was requested by Jazzman (Bob). While we were at the Club Humidor here in San Antonio at the event sponsored by H.Upmann's Benji Menendez I decided to buy 3 cigars so I could enter the drawing for a signed humidor. Jazzman helped me choose this Montecristo mini Churchill.
This is a short and sweet review. It is tauted as a medium to full flavored cigar. Mine was more on the full side. Good volume of smoke. Good burn. The strong flavor lasted through the whole cigar it never got harsh. I still have the strong cigar buzz.
As James Brown would say Whoa-oa-oa! I feel good,...So good, so goodThanks Bob!

I came home did the review and went to the other store for another freebie. I bought one of those Onyx reserve Mini belicosos and lit it up. It was tooo mild. I asked Benji about it and he said the Onyx Reserve is their attempt to make a sweet cigar. Sweet is correct. Like sucking on a sugar cane. I got to talk to him for an hour. He told me many things about cigars and humidity. They (Montecristo) are coming out with a new cigar that is much stronger than the Monte V. I forgot the name of it of course. He said he smokes one and does not have any interest in another one that day. Sounds nice and strong!

Monte Series V, nice smoke. I have some with a little age, even better. Spicey in the nose.

Like them, not the price. Fer de lance is a good alternative.

Last year when Big **** Bumpasario was promoting Players Club cigars I wrote to them (email) and gave them my review of the Players cigars they sent to me and low and behold in the mail I received 3 Montecristo Series R cigars and several other of their products. They were very nice and said the Monties would be out in about a year or so! I smoked two of them and sent a post on the upcoming wonders! These are really good cigars and have more flavor and kick than other Monties. Great cigars. Charlie PS the Players are beautiful but ordinary! Sopranos back Sept 15!

Thanks Charlie for the info. I knew I read about a new stronger blend of Monte to be released, but I couldn't remember the details or where I read it. I'll be looking out for them.
What sizes will they be released in, do you know?

Have had a couple. Notwhere near the Cuban Monte's. Darker and richer that the non-Cubans. Enjoyable, even good on the finish but not great. Some complexity, Interesting. Would buy another 5 pack if I could get a deal
