the problem is they smell funny and not in a good way. i handed it off to my buddy who worked at a local b and m and he winced as did the next 2 guys i was hanging with........ they both agreed.
what your experience with these?
...and also are these the same cigar (other tuan the packaging)? they have the same tin, same label same size, same nasty smell, same green sticker etc
thanks and cheers!
Never had the half-corona tin size, but I have much experience with the more normal sizes of PDR stuff including the Obsidian black, Obsidian White Noise and Reserva Limitada.
My experience is that some are great upon receipt, and some are not ("off" smell, bad burn/taste) but become just as great after some humidor time.
I suspect this may be PDR "shipping young", after which the boxes hit the CI warehouse and some get sent to customers immediately (and still require more humidor time) while others spend quite awhile in the CI warehouse before going to customers (and don't require more humidor time).
I have no problem resting them for a long while, when they need it. They're a HUGE bang-for-buck value and I have a very large cigar collection, so giving them extra time doesn't bother me at all.
