Eleven-year-old yard services entrepreneur Frank Giaccio locked down his biggest client ever Friday morning, mowing the White House lawn on the invitation of President Trump.


White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted a photo of Giaccio taking care of business Friday morning.

“Frank is hard at work in the Rose Garden and doing a great job!” she wrote.


Sanders announced earlier this week that "Frank from Falls Church, Virginia” would help the grounds crew cut the Rose Garden grass.

Trump accepted the Virginia boy’s offer after he wrote to the president saying it would be his "honor to mow the White House lawn." Giaccio, who was 10 when he wrote the letter but has since turned 11, also enclosed a menu of his services, which include weed-whacking.

Giaccio told Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria” earlier Friday, “So far it’s pretty much the best day of my life.”


The White House later tweeted a photo of Trump walking alongside Giaccio on the lawn.

Yep... I charged 3 bucks to mow the neighbors lawn.. they prolly thought I was a schmuck... Sad

As I recall it was $11 per yard in 1977. Big yards ~ 1 acre lots with hills. Pain in the ass with a push mower and having to bag it. fog

Citizen felon, they are against the law, "Novelty Use Only" is actully a legal caution.

I had my own LAWN MOWING BUSINESS WHEN
I WAS 10?- 18....1966-74...I CHARGED $3.00 for any lawn...then up to $3.50...with the clients gas and my own HEAVY PUSH MOWER...NO POWER ANYTHING BUT THE BLADE SPINNING AROUND!!!
AS I look back on it...is was a great WAY to make money...but some azzholes with big lawns *****ED ME OVER and would laugh at me from their decks drinking beer ( SCHAFFEER CANS, PABST, OLD MILWALKEE, ETC)...
SOOOO...
I'd do them maybe "3"? Times, after the 3rd time...
I'd get paid first...then ...after the cash was in my pocket...I'd say..."since you think I'm such a great deal and then laugh your AZZ OFF at me from your deck....you can find another lawn care kid"....
They would get really PISSED and threaten to call my parents...I would say " go ahead azzhole...you have my phone number...don't you?"
My DAD would hang up on them...if they called and he would laugh his AZZ OFF too...

Then I'd ride by them in AUGUST ...ON A sweltering HOT DAY DRINKING A CAN OF COKEACOLA ON MY STINGRAY... LAUGHING my AZZ off AND GIVING THEM THE FINGER"....

A former New York Times labor reporter has been slammed on social media for a snarky tweet hitting the White House for letting an 11-year-old boy mow the Rose Garden lawn last week.


Steven Greenhouse, who worked for the Times for 31 years and still writes for the paper on occasion, took issue with the feel-good story of the boy, Frank Giaccio, of Falls Church, Va., who showed up at the White House Friday to cut the grass at the invitation of President Trump.

“Not sending a great signal on child labor, minimum wage & occupational safety >> Trump White House lets a 10-year-old volunteer mow its lawn,” Greenhouse, who covered unions for much of his time at the newspaper, tweeted.


The Daily Wire website slammed Greenhouse’s tweet as the “dumbest” ever posted on Twitter.

Others were just as critical.

Greenhouse seems like A idiot...but ya gotta believe me, he does not speak for libs in general.
I like this lawn mowing thing, to be honest. Sort of like real humans were involved.

I know Frank.. nobody likes this guy... He pointed out that there's a warning stating 'childrens 12 and above' on lawn mowers.. what a maroon... Mellow

I was mowing a few in the neighborhood when I was 10! Shoveling driveways in the winter too.
that was my "allowance".

Yep.. most of us did.. course Nintendo was just starting to spread about that time.. I remember having a half hour time limit on school days on the game console... But that was ok.. couldn't get stoned at home anyways.. Mellow
