There's more to programming than if / then conditionals;)
All it takes is automate one thing... then they say, well, if we can build that step in, then we can build this step in... before you know it... BOOM, you got a bunch of robots under you.
Then if your job gets reduced to monitoring the robots and analyzing the data they give you... well, computers are very good at analyzing data (assuming the programmers that wrote it are competent).
I don't think it's a matter of if, it's more a matter of when.
