'Armed citizen' fatally shoots gunman at Oklahoma City restaurant

A potential mass shooting in Oklahoma City was prevented by an armed citizen killing the gunman, the city’s police department reported Thursday evening.

Three people were injured in the attack on Louie’s Grill & Bar in Oklahoma City, the department’s Twitter feed told the public. But a much bloodier scene was averted when the attacker was taken down.

“The only confirmed fatality is the suspect. He was apparently shot-to-death by an armed citizen,” the Oklahoma City Police Department wrote on Twitter.

The feed later elaborated that the person “confronted the shooter outside the restaurant and fatally shot him.”

The police added that “the shooter’s motive is unknown and his identity is not yet confirmed.”

There was no indication of terrorism, the department said.

Two people were taken to the hospital but both are expected to survive, police said, correcting an initial claim that only one person was hospitalized.

You left out the best parts if you are making it political.

AP included NRA and Juan. To push it over the top politically, we need to know if Juan is black or not. Some must know.

Drafter shoulda taken the shooter fishing when he was growing up...


Seems that two citizens were able to run to their cars to get their guns from the trunk, return to the restaurant, and kill the gunman...good thing he didn't have access to a semi-auto rifle with a high capacity mag...

..and if they had their guns on them like they should have, instead of having to leave them in their cars, it wouldn't have mattered what kind of weapon the shooter had.

I dunno...living in a place where every body...EVERYBODY...is packing, doesn't sound all that comforting to me...I would trust you and jespear...but what about those foreign-looking young dudes drinking and hootin and hollerin over there?
