Not sure if anyone follows, but my good buddy, Dino, won any invitation to Vegas after winning an online tournament... he played his butt off last night in the Challenge the Champs tourney.... ended up going heads up with Scotty Nguyen who ultimately ended up with the win...

Still an excellent showing by my buddy, Dino, and we're all extremely proud of the guy... and I'm sure the second place prize of $15k isn't too disappointing...

That is very impressive. Takes some legit talent to be at that table. I remember seeing Scotty on the tube many times back in the day when I was really into the poker scene; multiple bracelet winner and fun to watch.

Very cool. I love Texas Hold 'em and watch it on TV all the time. We play several sit and goes ant FGM's Herf every year. Went to Vegas several years ago and won one smaller tourney and cashed in two others.

Ok, i was way off... there were roughly 7700 people in this tournament, not 1000... last paying spot is 1182, which pays $15k ($5k over entry fee)... 1st place pays $8.8 million...

Dino (monte phelps) was 170, but that was before about half the pack played... that was Monday....

He started yesterday around 650 i believe, had a big surge at the end of the night, and currently sits at 450 with 151,200 chips...

He's got the day off today and then plays everyday "until they crown me champion"...

His buddy got knocked out in the 3rd round yesterday...

I was watching on ESPN last night and 151K is a decent stack at this point. Wish him good luck the rest of the way!

We should try again to get the CBID poker games going. Those were a lot of fun.

I won 6k one time in a tourney at a local casino here.

Cashed in a bunch. I stopped playing pretty much when they made it hard to get your money out of online poker rooms.

Figured if I wasn't actively practicing, no point in keeping up with it.

Always like playing live better, but practicing a lot helps with making better decisions when it matters.
