House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi sent out a dramatic, no-holds-barred fundraising email on Monday saying she is "determined to avenge President Obama if it’s the last thing I do" by premptively opposing President Trump's Supreme Court nominee.

Pelosi, 78, is one of several top Democrats -- including Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.-- who already have announced that they oppose Trump's pick without knowing whom the president has selected. Schumer has said the Senate should not consider any Supreme Court nominees during an election year.

Meanwhile, Fox News has learned that several red-state Democrats, including three who voted to confirm Neil Gorsuch last year, will not be attending tonight's primetime rollout of the Supreme Court nominee in the White House.

In the fundraising email, Pelosi opened by acknowledging that she has been making persistent appeals to potential donors lately: "I emailed on Saturday. I emailed on Sunday. Now I’m emailing you again today."

She then outlines her plan to get back at Senate Republicans for their refusal to vote on Obama's 2016 Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland. That vacant seat ultimately went to now-Justice Gorsuch after Trump's election. Pelosi, though, has no actual vote in the confirmation process, and seemingly uses the email to raise money for House Democratic candidates...

Your deep concern is noted.

And the article is nonsense... "Opposed Trump's pick without knowing who it is"? He said it would be 1 of 3 people. If someone doesn't like all 3 then I don't see how it would be difficult to say you oppose his pick.

President Trump nominated appeals court judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court Monday night to replace the retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy, ending a days-long guessing game that began the moment Kennedy announced his retirement on June 27.

In televised remarks from the East Room of the White House, the president praised what he called Kavanaugh's "impeccable credentials, unsurpassed qualifications and a proven commitment to equal justice under the law."

"There is no one in America more qualified for this position, and no one more deserving," Trump said.

He's an establishment pick. Not as pro 2nd as advertised nor as anti-abortion as advertised either. He was part of the Vince Foster cover up too.

Incessant? Like your recent insinuation tact? Are you incapable of reading an article and knowing editorializing from hard fact? Maybe that's why you only trust yourself with msm. Is it hard being fragile like that, always nervous about what a scary article might do to you?

Seems qualified...longer track record as a jurist than was expected for a Trump nominee...definitely conservative, but what did any lib expect, Merrick Garland?

One concern is an opinion piece he authored 9 years ago about why sitting Presidents should not be subjects of civil or criminal litigation during their terms. He wrote this opinion after he was a key investigator for Ken Starr's special prosecution of Bill Clinton....

I suspect Trump saw that and said, "That's my guy!"

Possible.

Equally plausible is that when Trump saw that, he said, "I'm going to pick this guy...just so we can watch the heads over on MSNBC explode over this."

It would be nice if the vote was based on his ability and history. But we know that won't happen.

I think he'll be confirmed...some Dem Senators in red states will vote for him despite the party trying to unite against him...but his rulings at the lower courts have been mostly upheld on appeal and he has a reputation for being a straight shooter when interpreting the law...what more can one expect from a SCOTUS justice?

The reality for the Dem party is the only way to get to pick a SCOTUS justice is to elect a President and a majority of Senators, at the time a vacancy opens...there aren't any alternatives...and it has failed to do that in the last three elections.

If only you had the will, and the capacity to refute something without name calling there might be a discussion. I have no clue what sent you into this mode recently, I used to respect you having the ability to disagree with style and class. Now you're just an ass.

You musta missed his "taking off the gloves" post...Spey posted that he was tired of trying to be moderate and civil and getting disrespected...said he was gonna be more honest...(I'm para-phrasing and had no luck trying to find that post...hope I didn't put the wrong words in your mouth, Bro)

Your goose stepping comment crossed a VERY personal line. I was once married to a nice Jewish lady who lost family members to the Holocaust. Her pain effects me to this day. Maybe you want to rip on me for that. Words have consequences, and one cannot take them back. So am I wound up , in a word yes.

Also, I am a liberal. I think perhaps not a typical one. You constantly insult liberals, hence you constantly insult me. I seldom insult groups of people. Even when that group has views that are polar opposites of mine, most people in that group are good people. Though I certainly do insult individuals from time to time. So more information for you to rip me on.

As far as your sources, I really do find them as biased as CNN. I know there is no such thing as neutral, but personally I call BS on CNN daily. So I expect better from you. If you only find information from a biased to the right source, I can't say I believe you. I suppose you can rip me on this also.

So two posters use the term "goose stepping".
But only one crossed over a self determined and previously unknown line.

Stop it.

Only one poster directed the term goose stepping at me. I did not even know it was used a second time until you brought it up. Z asked for an explanation, I gave him a straight forward honest one.
