I recently read some "news" on the CA site about counterfeit Padrons being seized in NY as well as many faux brands in the DR making their way to shops web retailers AND auctions. As I am a relative herfing neophyte, do these reports shake your confidence when buying the more expensive Super brands Re: Padron,Montecristo,CAO,and those from the ISOM in particular?

You've heard the old saying, "Buyer Beware" ... it pays to educate onself ... and only buy from reputable smoke shops and web sites. I've never had a problem with CI or it's auction site. It is one place that I'm sure is very careful with what it sells ... and will take care of you if you have a problem.

Label recognition and buying from a reputable tobacconist will cure most of this.

Beware: ACID and LAR Tetens are counterfeit cigars. In fact, they are rolled up goose shi+ dipped in Bengay in an effort to look like real cigars. Don't be fooled by these putred imitations. ( You know, not for nothin', I could be beating a dead horse myself here) ..(my head hangs in shame)

Ditto on Slimboli's comment. And, wanyburger, you're not beating a dead horse, now I think you're just beating yourself... ;)
