the metal detctor worked... and the way I knew it worked wasn't because it never sounded an alarm, but rather because, when I intentionally put metal through the metal detector, the alarm went off, without fail...
The Government of The United States of America has a fantastic system of checks and balances that ensures the statutes and stipulations of our constitution are delicately and appropriately applied...
I support Donald Trump because he's our president, but he's nothing more to me than a racist version of Jimmy Morales... he's the chunk of metal by which we prove or disprove the efficacy of our system...
Poor form to quote myself, I know... But this is the first thing I thought of when I read about this.... If someone at my plant had said "hey, that metal detector, it looks like it works and makes noises and stuff, but really it doesn't work at all... But don't worry, Jorge is under the metal detector and he's really smart about making good decisions so he's going to continue making sure the right meat gets through and the wrong meat doesn't" I wouldn't be ok with that... I need to know that the metal detector works, and perhaps more importantly, if it doesn't work I need to know why so I can have it tweaked and modified... I'm not ok with someone sitting under the machine telling me everything is gonna be ok, particularly since Jorge's version of "ok" can't be held to any identifiable standard... Telling me there's an adult in the room doesn't help... I know a bunch of f*cktard adults...
