My wife and I returned from in March 2013. I was 58 years old. I applied for a 10-year term life rate that would cover the cost of the mortgage of the home we were able to buy (just under ($200,000).
I took the physical...they asked, "do you smoke?" I proudly said, "Yes, I enjoy cigars." After a quick discussion ("do you inhale?" - "heck no", etc.), the examiner said, "Non-smoker". I asked how that could be, he told me that (at that time), there was zero evidence that people that smoked cigars (without inhaling) were candidates for lung and cigarette-related cancers. I asked them to put that in writing...they did.
So, here is my question: Have things changed?
thank you.
