It's me again. Right now I have a wooden cigar box with one of those humidor tubes in it. I have about 7 different brands of cigars right now. Should I try to keep these from touching each other? Should I take the ones that have plastic on them out of the plastic. (for those of you keeping score not one of these is a flavored cigar just some mild ones that I am trying so I can find my nitch)

Oh my God! Heavens no! You should send every single cigar that ever rubbed up against another to me. It will be sanitized, scrutinized, and martinized. In other words...you might not get it back. In the event that you should get any of them back, reast assured that they won't contain anything that they had rubbed up against. Remember, I'm not like those freebie-loving cigar thieves that run rampant on this board. I'm preserving the integrity of the brand for you and me. Hell, contact me now and I'll even pay the postage!

You do smoke "quality" cigars? I mean it would be a shame if those PAM's were to rup up against those Opus X's!

If we're talking about those "dog rockets" then it won't matter what "they" rub up against. It won't save them from the machine that rolled them!

Well I am still new so they aren't 1.00 cigars but most are decent I think. I paid around 3 to 5 a piece for these. Does that help.

Also if you don't finish a cigar and you cut the burnt tip off and save it or once you start it, is it over.

Ask Rickamaven about how many times you can light the same cigar. He smokes the same stogie for 2 days LoL. Barry

The best way to keep the Cigars is without the wrappers. It is ok to have them side by side ;I prefer to put like cigars with like cigars. The important part is to keep the Humidity constant around 70% ,the Temp. cool, and if you have a tray the air circulation throughout the box.I never resmoke a cigar that has been properly smoked that is lit and burnt to the end.A cigar is just nasty tasting after it has been sitting half burnt ,unlit, unkept.

and i wouldn't dream of cutting of the ash. that's where most of the flavor is.

when it rains, the cigar or cigars i have left outside on the patio table are usually fairly damp, especially if the ash tray is full of water. one minute or two in the micro and they are fine.

No matter what else you do, do NOT ever put a partially smoked cigar in the same place that you keep the rest of your cigars!

Amen a presmoked cigar with the new ones sucks. But that is why I smoke em til the end or I leave them.I have not tried the newer methods as of yet.I understand that one can if they are so inclined keep the cigars in a special tube humidor.I have not bought one yet so I do not know.I have also heard that people blow through the cigar once they are finished placing it in a cool humid place and pick it up afterwords to smoke. As fo me and my house you do not smoke if you do not have the time.To do otherwise might serve the dark forces purposes but not ours, turn to the light ;-).

Rick. I have an ashtray in my back yard with a few old stogie butts. Some aren't more than a couple days old and the sprinkler only got to them once or twice. I'll send them to you and see if you can revive them.

Hey Rick, I throw my stubs in the fireplace outside.
You can have them if you want. Better act fast. I'm cooking out this weekend!

I thought we were supposed to send the butts to SteveS. He is the one that likes to make 4 butts into one Butt Lonely Wolf.

Oh ya, Webslinger: Take the cello off before you smoke them or put them in the microwave.

I am with qmech. on this. If I am having a smoke and my wife says "Say honey? I think the garage is on fire!" I say "I'm busy, call the Fire Dept." The other stuff? Cello off. Let them mingle.

Leave the cello on when you smoke it. You'll soon see pretty colours. Plus you can smoke in the rain!

Ever make a zilch?
Smoke with the cello on at night. The plastic melts and burns a beautiful purple flame and when it drips to the ground it makes a sound like "zilch", cool.

Barry, believe it or not, I've done that with the cello. Off the cigar I might add. Just sitting around smoking and bored. Come to think of it, things must be o.k. if that's all that's on our minds.
