fog Beer

This "new" offering from JIM BEAM
WAS A DISAPPOINTING OUTCOME...

REGULARLY $24.95...
ON SPECIAL for $16.95
As a "Premium Selection Series"
@ PA STATE LIQOUR STORES
Was a real bummer...

Nothing special AT ALL...

KINDA HARSH AND BURNED...

BUT I THINK IT MAY SHOW PROMISE IF you let it AgE in ThE bottle for 5 more years which may? Mellow it a bit...

I'd still rather drink
EVAN WILLIAMS REGULAR BLACK LABEL BOURBON
any day of the week...80 PROOF
And that is $13.99 @ regular price and
$11.99 when on sale.

Has anybody else tried
Jim Beam DOUBLE OAK TWICE BARRELED ?

My advice...

Don't even bother buying it...
Especially at $24.95...

Just keep getting what you like when that is on sale...

Of course...BOURBON are like cigars...
One guy loves certain cigars...
Other people hate them...
BOURBON is prolly the same way?

I would say yes Bourbon is prolly the sameway but, I have yet to meet a person that does not like bourbon.

Frank is correct in a glass bottle it will not age. Get you a small oak barrel and pour it in there and let it set in the dark for a bit. It will age more then. It will also take in more tannin and vanillin of the wood. I personally like an oak barrel with a number 3 char.

I thought this was better than I expected, but I didn’t have high hopes.

Mr Jones, try Evan Williams bottled in bond.

I’d recommend the ABC on Richmond Rd.....nice places to stop by near there.

Some residual fermentation and oxidation changes.

Same as beer. The chemical compounds continue to break down/change over time.

Alcohol content of spirits is too high for any microbial action to continue. It's a stable solution. Given enough time some of the ethanol may degrade, but that's talking lifetime timeframes.

Think I thought they stopped making that stuff.
Used to get my friend a bottle of it every year for NY Eve party, but was told it was discontinued.

^^^^ G.A.R.Y. is pushin' up daisies....cuz he didn't ask anybody "very high up" who I really was before he decided to f**k with me...there's a reason for "life long handshakes and no file" and messing w/ an MJ12 driver & bagman....

When Gary was alive....he could barely walk a mile or stay awake past 10 pm...he was a light weight psychopathic
Moron....his best ABILITY was delegating others to perform his ideas and duties without thinking them through...
He was always a coward and never took point...his cute little miss moffat black girlfriend was always his point man...she had balls and smarts...she really liked my wood inlayed religious artwork painting at the American legion...it intrigued her immensley but she never figured it out...poor little black miss Moffat...

Poor Gary....

I was a bourbon lover long before it became popular. I think it was better back then. Even the rot gut brands were aged four years and now it's only 3. They can't make enough of it now to age it properly. My old go to back then was Walker's Deluxe. Haven't seen it in decades. Didn't Frank post something a year or two ago about a lot of it coming out of a big Indiana distillery ?

It's 114 proof, 57 % alcohol. Can't be 114 %.

Perhaps we just "passed in the wind"?

Ever get saved "in the bush" via a double folded poncho
