worked out the deal Thursday, yesterday was last day...

not everyone here is or should be in on the events in my life over the last 16 months, but I have been tested mightily. So weird to say this but you imbeciles have provided a source of therapy, and work was another, until the last couple of months.

no one's fault, but I needed an end plan for my health and sanity. I had been VERY close friends with the owner for 30 years before he asked me to come help him grow his business 22 and a half years ago. and when we sat down Thursday, I was once again facing my friend I first met in 7th grade and knew it would end well.

He insisted on a very generous severance package (heh heh, Frank said package) and when I protested he said I had to allow him to thank me for being an integral part of his success...so I said "okey dokey" And he said I could stay as long as I wanted to, but he would also understand if I wanted to go that minute (we were both crying like babies).

So Friday became the day. Nice send off by co-workers and many calls and emails from customers...I'm actually going in for a couple of hours here and there next week to make sure all of my promises are completed...and I immediately started to conceive of a plan to offer as a vendor that I know would be beneficial to the company, and I would absolutely love to do as well!

So to my friends here whom I have met, and the friends I have yet to meet...thank you for helping me cope, whether or not you were aware of your roles.

Some things never change.

Frank.
Always closing.

Always.

Now you can borrow Ed's drone and peek into the windows of the hot retirees on your street.
It won't seem as weird now that you're a peer.

Congrats and best of luck to you Frank. Enjoy your retirement. As much as CBid has helped you, know that you help us too. Your BS sensor is typically on point and your sense of humor is priceless. Just cause you retire, please don’t leave us too.
