Giving my new cordless LED backlit keyboard a test.

So far, I'm liking it. I've had the same Logitech cordless keyboard for more years than I can count. Have used it with desktop and laptop alike, and I love that keyboard. Sadly, some of the letters are wearing off, some clown (moi) has spilled one too many sodas in it, etc, and some of the keys resist easy use. Even have spots on the space bar where my thumbs have worn the thing smooth. I'm still hanging onto it for my backup.

G-Cord backlit was mainly purchased due to my crappy eyesight. I took typing in high school (kids, ask your parents what a typewriter is). I'm usually good for about 80-85 wpm, but some days it's like I miss about one key over, and numbers and symbols are not intuitive for me. This cordless keyboard runs around $60 in the jungle (I know, Prime Day is coming up, but I have price protection via my credit card, and this has been driving me crazy, especially if I just want to lean back and type at night or if my vision in the remaining working eye is especially fuzzy that day (due to health issues, my eyesight is worse on some days than others).

Being blind in one eye and having compromised vision in the other, this backlit keyboard is the shiat. It's mechanical, although I believe you can adjust the settings. I love the key action on this; great feel, nice action to the keys, and it's one of the few in its class at a reasonable price that is mechanical, so the springs give a nice bounce back. It doesn't have the wrist rest my beloved Logitech has, but that's a small tradeoff for being able to see what the hell I'm typing on those days when I'm all thumbs and no eyes. It also has an aluminum body, whereas many competitors have plastic, so this thing is substantial.

There, I have typed all of this on my new keyboard, with no loss of speed or accuracy. 104 key layout, works either with or without the cord (when plugged in, you charge the internal battery, but I just pop that on a surge protector equipped with USB ports when not in use.

Five stars. I recommend this bad boy.

Are you sure that that "puppy" isn't a strange looking cat ?

#2 Can't help you there. I have fish as pets. Much easier to manage.

#3 It would seem I have. I have a stack of keyboards that never made the cut. I researched the bejeezus out of this one. Time and money well-spent. Good to see you again, as well.

#4 Thank you. Somehow I suspected this post might draw that sort of scrutiny. Fortunately, I can see well enough to proofread.

There is no Bruce Jenner. Only was.
The Olympic Decathlon champion. The pride of our nation.
And now a transgendered woman. Baffling. Insanity.
Yet I support his/her/it’s rights

Strange days...
