if Gore becomes president, he and his Injustice Department might think, "hey, to rescue social security let's go after McDonald's for making fatty unhealty hamburgers". Then to pay down the debt they can go after Public Service companies for those dangerous power lines that some quacks says gives people cancer. The tobacco lawsuits are the biggest sham. First half of the money goes to lawyers that have cozy relationships with the government, then the rest goes for all types of projects under the sun, none of which is tobacco related. In Colorado the money is being used for such things as parks and roads. Similar is the holocaust industry. Suing anyone and everyone under the sun for the sake of the victims. But these victims don't see any of it, just goes to the coffers of lawyers and huge organizations. The victims, those left alive are getting pretty pissed about it now. But I digress, and I have a bit of anti lawsuit bias. In the end, though it is us regular Joes that have to pay for these lawsuits, as corporations simply pass the cost along to the consumer.
