Me: ya know, maybe the media isn't so bad...

The media, riding helmetless on a stolen motorcycle through a crowded playground while snorting rails of coke off a hookers rack:

Hey, can we reuse that Kentucky gun range footage and tell people it's new york?

Free press is good.

Lying free press is bad.

Just like when you caught your kids doing something. Was that the only time or just the one I caught you on?

The sad part is it’s an unforced error. They didn’t have to, although maybe they just dont have footage so used it as stock footage.

No different then when the NYT wrote that "Trump Puts Kids in Cages" article, and used photos taken in 2015 when Obama was President. Or when Zucker is caught on camera telling his CNN employees that their only job is to bring down Trump, using any means possible, even at the expense of other major news stories.

Maybe that is why poll after poll shows that up to 77% ('18 Mamouth) of Americans believe that the main stream media fabricates, and/or lies about news stories.

Case in point. The media has criticized Trump's handling of COVID19 24/7, yet his approval rating in his handling of this virus is at 60%. I guess a lot of folk no longer watch or believe the MSM, and they have no one to blame but themselves.

with the number of deaths and seriously ill happening in NYC, it isn't likely that scenes from any of the NYC hospital's ICU's are as peaceful and calm as those depicted on the stock video from Italy...

they are most likely prohibited /afraid to enter an actual ER in NYC to obtain videos...

for journalistic integrity, though, they should've ID'ed the scene, or left it out altogether... the factual content and its otherwise accuracy gets lost when this happens...

Just curious.. would any news crew be allowed into an American ICU to film? Wouldn't that violate privacy laws?

Not defending CBS btw. I don't trust the US media on the left or right. There are some decent international outlets though.

That's the problem with the majority of modern journalism. There shouldn't be left or right, shouldn't be a focus on the sensational to increase clicks and views. There should just be a story either exciting or mundane and the facts surrounding it

How odd is it?

We didn’t have the White House taking about “Fake News” until we had a president with fake hair, fake health records, fake business record, a mail order bride with fake everything, a fake university, and kids with fake job success.....

What are the chances?

Of course they didn't have to.
But they did.
And they will again. And again. And again.
Because nobody is going to call them out for it.

not much different from all news media, including Fox, who use stock video to provide moving images during a narrative...like the Islamic terrorists training camp video used whenever a story about RIT is aired or OBL sitting in front of a rug cradling an AK47...
