IMO the cigar prices went up a couple dollars on the auctions and its getting harder to win some good deals!
Is it because many newbies just pay the bucks and dont take time to research!

you got it! look for the ones "they" are not familiar with and that might help you bidding.

Could be and more than likely retailers trying to get a good deal as well...I just bide my time and wait for the next one...it'll come around. Recently picked up a nice box of El Ricos for $55; that's over a buck/stick less than retail...

Well in boxes over 40 bucks you still can pick up a good deal I had yesterday a box of don thomas for 40 bucks which is good, however you go in to the 5packs and samplers and they start bidding like grazy there!

I say dealers. Check this out.

This guy does this every time he bids, trys to grab the whole lot, and not always at a low bid. I have been watching him now for at least a month, and I doubt an individual has that kind of money to sink into cigars.

Yeah ... he is just one of many retailers who try to get good deals here in large quantities. They know wholesale prices and the profit margin they seek in order to retail their winnings, and won't go over that ...

... just a fact of life at any auction site.

Yeah I have seen his and others Hometown address as seller on e-bay.However he know what he is bidding for and I know how high he goes,so I dont see any problems
there because he never overbids.

Talk about overbidding - I was bidding on this box of La Gloria's and lost. Winning bidders paid $73., they only retail at CI for $66. - http://www.cigarbid.com/...ion/lot.cfm?lotID=71158
Whats up with that? Bidding fever I guess...

E-chick..you ain't lyin'. That CAO cap is up to $23. People must assume that if the cigar is pricey so is the hat. Must be made with cuban sun-grown cotton. Not much you can do when idiots overpay like that. BTW, picked up a nice Diesel lid tonight for a mere $9.
