couldn't be more incorrect, but I understand your dislike.
It's about politicians for you.
Still incorrect though

Masks can stop Covid but not the smell of perfume, farts, or Kentucky Fried Chicken.

I know right? If everyone wears masks then the argument for second hand smoke stuff goes out the window too.

Shouldn't we be able to smoke in public places now that everyone is protected by the masks? If only they trumpeted this during all the secondhand smoke debates.

Wear a mask, protect the children from cancer.

Big energy industry should get on board and flood the news cycles with this. No more need for emissions standards or the expensive scrubbers on the smoke stacks since everyone is wearing a mask.

There's a whole Green Initiative industry that has yet to be tapped - masks for trees and stuff. Made from 100% recycled fibers. We'll just need some seed money (or government grants) to get it germinated.

why do people here have such difficulty understanding that the mask protects those near the wearer from the wearer's cooties?
Wearing a mask does not protect the wearer so much. Maybe some, but that isn't the primary concept.

Why am I mandated to wear something that MIGHT protect someone from something that I don't have?

Your chances of killing me with your car is far greater than my chances of killing you by giving you the COVID.

I don't have the COVID so your chances of getting it from me 0.0000000000000. You drive a car so your chances of hurting me are (albeit insignificantly small) are infinitely greater.

Wearing cute little fashionable cloth masks make people who are completely helpless feel like they are doing something to stop the virus. They then relax social isolation and get sick.

Don’t want to get the ‘Rona or a cold or influenza...don’t let anyone get within 10 feet of you. Wearing a mask makes you falsely think you have some protection to violate this.

That sounds like we should start rounding up people and put them in Covid camps.

despite it being a silly comparison (car accidents are not contagious) it is also wrong.

slightly less than 40,000 people die on America's roads yearly.

nearly 6 times that amount have died from this virus in just over a half a year and would indisputably be many more without simple efforts on the part of citizens.
