Every once in a while you buy something that performs exactly as advertised. I just got back from the range test firing my FK Bruno pistol in 7.5 FK cartridge. They claim to send a 95 grain projectile at 2,000 feet per second, (FPS) from a 6 inch barrel. My chronograph says it averages 2,050 FPS, well done! They also say their recoil attenuation system works well. It is a large semiautomatic pistol, but the recoil is less than an average full size 9mm.

7.5 kf?

Guess I have some reading to do. I’m building another custom this time a G34 stormtrooper.

Is this a Euro thing?

Yes, Czechoslovakia. The pistol and cartridge were developed for defense subcontractor dealing with close threats, that needed the speed of a a handgun but with more stopping power than typical pistol rounds. I like to collect unusual or odd firearms/cartridges, Bruno pressed both buttons, especially when they brought out a less expensive polymer framed version.

Pro: It holds 20 rounds, doesn't have much recoil and with the good ammo, it goes through most personal armor like buttah.

Con: They cost a lot for essentially a blow back pistol, it is a large pistol and the ammo is spendy.

Ruger makes a pistol that uses the same ammo and retails for less. I have not shot one, but Ruger makes good pistols.

OTOH, if you want what something spectacular, Keltec announced a 5.7x28 pistol that will use the P90 50 round magazines.

I had an AR57 AR upper that shot that round from the P90 magazines and ejected through the magazine well of the AR. The FN P90 magazines are some interesting technology, the rounds are stacked 90 degrees to the barrel and yet feed reliably.

The Field pistol for sure. Sipping tea

I did recently sell off a few more pedestrian pistols and some rifles to move from quantity to quality/eccentricity and it is a good time to selling. Whistle

It ridiculous what some parts are going for.

I’m tempted to buy new Glocks just to sell the sides on eBay and have frames to build customs for free and enough money left over for a barrel.

IMO, that is a better way to go. Before the current craziness I wanted to do an 80% build, but even then I could find used complete pistols for less money than I could buy all the parts to complete the build. And, I could sell/trade the used gun if I wished.

You must be a millionaire...

I don't know anybody who is shooting any ammo in
These difficult times...

I'm saving mine for the "hoardes OF STREET GANGS & hungry city folk running over anything in their path like LOCUSTS"...KILLING EVERYTHING in their path... devouring any and all foodstuffs and caches of ammo on their move towards the Midwest...after Uncle cool JoJo enacts the new gun laws and the SUN FLARES EMP's DECIMATE the power grid.... with no electricity, no water and no heat...

I think it is, but with a lower capacity magazine. Officer Greg is in California.
