I've had good luck with the robusto larga maduro. Very tasty after sitting for a while.

I bought a box of the EMS Magic Mountains a couple of years back. I ended up tossing half of them. Wouldn't burn. It was like they were wrapped in asbestos. Maybe they've fixed that.

The robustos are good smokes. They do need a few months but they get much better.

They are burnin better these days, but that's probably just that the H2000 wrapper is gettin better. I wish they'd wrap em in Costa Rican Maduro. Or even a sungrown.

That Barney Rubble, what an actor.
My experience has never been that great. One to try and see for yourself.

Leonard Bernstein, West Side Story, "Maria".

Off topic: Rick, I do too. Even more, I like Barbershop Quartets.

On Topic: The Magic Mountain is the only stick in the line I buy. Though I admit, consistancy is an issue.

I bought a box of Robusto Larga maduros earlier this year. Now after about six months of humidor time, they are starting to become pretty good smokes. Medium body, some spiciness.

oh, and delarob ... e-Chick is trying to take advantage of you ... your singing is a lot like the noise my neighbors cat made when I ran over it's tail with a rocking chair ... frankly, it ain't making it, but e's getting a lot of laughs at your expense listening to you try ...

know what's worse??

MY singing ... even I can't stand it if I sing in the shower or when I'm alone in the car ... that "cat whose tail got run over by the rocking chair" sound is far preferable to the sound I make if I try to sing ... when I stand with the crowd at the ballgame for the Nat'l Anthem, I have to sing VERY softly to avoid clearing the place out ...

It's rare that a person can actually admit to having a bad voice. My wife loves to sing, but cannot sing a solitary note. It's OK around the house. But we were out at the pool with friends recently and she had her CD headphones on. And off she went. I would've interupted her, but I figure it's part of her charm. Our friends had a smile on their faces, as well. I guess what you don't know, can't hurt 'ya.

PMoreno ... thanks ... I'm much happier being an Idea Man than a singer anyway ... lol ...

As a matter of fact, I've got an idea right now ... I think it'd be a good idea for me to get to work before my boss gets the idea I don't have enough to do ... lol

Sorry to spoil the party and get back on track, but I couldn't wait to open a box of Magic Mountains that just arrived. Just burned my 1st and I now have a very large vein running through the middle of my forehead. Tough on the draw. Outstanding flavor but bot their "cheerleader tight". Maybe I'll take ya'll's advise and put them up for a few months.

Appreciate the replys.

toby has been with the sweet adelines for 25 + years and i can look up at the trophy shelf and see some first places in the quartet competition. if you like women's barbershop, i can look for a record by the "cracker jills" and put it on tape for you. i also have a great parody done by the "crown city four".

while i was waiting for the letters to appear, (see another post about my keyboard being ****.) i looked through my records* and found the crown city four, but not the cracker jills. i did find a copy of the "realist" from 1965 and "the melodies of jan august. let me know if you want a copy [email protected]

*record - a storge unit usually for music consisting of a round 8 10" or 12" plastic like disk, usually black in color, with a hole in the middle large enough to fit on the spindle of a "record player*"

record player - a device for producing sound from "records" (see above)it had a flat surface with a spindle in the middle that turned the records in a circle. sound was produced by draging a needle across the surface of the "record" by turning the device, with the needle inserted in a vibrating device which reproduced the sound. the turning was accomplished by the use of a clock spring, which was wound and as it unwound, the record turned in a circle.
