The Chiefs (my favorite team) blew one today, instead of going for the win at the end of the damn game, they let it be decided by a coin toss (overtime)! In all fairness, this seems to be the theory throughout the NFL, because generally the team winning the toss wins the damn game, as was the case today as New England beat KC in New England 41-38 after the Chiefs drove for the tying touchdown (should have been winning touchdown, by going for two points)! KC played a good game, as Priest Holmes ran for over 175 yards and showed how great he is, but KC has no defense, and has to score big to win! I do not understand why NFL coaches insist on going to overtime, rather than decide the game with a two point attempt!

chicken ****. no guts, no glory. a lot of them play not to lose instead of to win. with 4th and less than a yard, i don't care where you are on the field, if you don't have 11 men out there that can gain a yard, you should look for a different job.

The extra point is actually 2 yards, but that is not the point at issue.........THEY ALL PLAY FOR A TIE IN THE NFL!!!!!

If your team is behind 3 points with 1 minute to go you first try to get into field goal range and then attempt a safe touchdown. If your team is in field goal range and the QB throws in the endzone and the receiver bobbles the ball and the other team intercepts it, you just blew the game! Overtime is not giving anything up. And the first team that gets the ball has a 52% chance of winning. Not that sure of a chance.
Spurrier wants to score TDs all the time. The Deadskins will be 3-13 this year.

Charlie,
I took my wife to that game. I'm glad they went into overtime!
I told my wife if the Pats lose she can't come again.
You should take the short trip down to San Diego this Sunday and watch my Patriots welcome Drew Brees into the NFL...
