They have a baseball team that’s in need of a catcher. You should try out.

it's a two way trade...you get benefits along with liabilities...you decide where the line of fairness lies...there's freedom in that...

I gave up social media because of all the extreme and hateful chatter that goes on, even tho I've lost track of people I used to know and like

I did the same, Al. Other than this place... no social media.

But it is a problem when Bezos, Zuckerdouche and YouTube/Google control what 90% of the population on the planet see and hear on the interwebs.

They made a point about the people who say, "don't like it create your own platform"... which they did... and got torpedoed by... Bezos, Zuckerdouche and YouTube/Google.

YouTube videos have a LOT of ads for democrats. I have never seen an ad for a republican.

Well... I've never seen one for the dems, either... because I skip it or scroll away... but it furthers my point that big tech has an agenda and they are silencing opposing views.

Gene, I think he means the video ads that run before, during or after the actual video.

Amazon, Google/Utube and Face Book are currently a privately owned business. They are the result of capitalism until the government takes them over or controls their activities. Like 'em or leave 'em as you see fit.

They are not the result of "capitalism", properly understood. They might have started that way, but before long they became crony capitalists serving leftist partisan interests in government. If they were true capitalists, they would be serving consumers of all stripes without their clearly ideological interests displayed as cancel culture, and censorship.

I am willing to bet you that their decisions and strategies are almost completely based on dollars. But, even if not, they still have the right to lean which ever way they want. Don't like it? Come out of the basement, sell your stock and stop using them.

You should not discount the influence of the Chinese Yuan on Big Tech. There are lots of marriages of convenience like what we see with the DNC and big tech social media.

That's quite a stretch saying that their decisions and strategies are almost completely based on dollars when they censor content and cancel accounts that bring in the advertising dollars. All in the name of stopping the spread of “misinformation” I hear.Glare Such public servants they are taking their cues from their government political cronies.
Then again they prey on the most vulnerable to enhance their profits too, particularly the young. Gotta get them while they're young and shield them from free speech and free thought if you want to breed good little leftist Demoncrats. That's the future of their business model.

Under capitalism, consumers would punish such wrongdoers in the marketplace, hurt them where it hurts, don't buy from them, don't pay for any of their subscription services and don't click on any ads, stop using them wherever possible and use their competitors who don't censor and cancel free speech.

How blind can you be, Robert? Parler was started as a way to communicate without censorship or "fact checking" and the owners of the interwebs torpedoed them.

So if you have a conservative viewpoint and you'd like to broadcast it, uncensored, the interwebs are owned by leftists. FB, Youtube, Google, Amazon, Disney, Hulu, every major media outlet... how does one compete with a monopoly?

They maybe a private companies but their supposed provide public service, if not pull their licenses. Or give them 3 months at a time leases, and if they violate the term start compounding they're fines too.

You actually signed up for a Parler account?

Hear any new conspiracy theories lately?

Yeah... we can watch some psy ops sh*t on face book till the democrat congress gets done ripping Zuckerberg for profiting off feeding lies to our neuron deficient brethren.

Oh wait... wasn't that the reason parler happenned... because facebook didn't stop the fact checkers?

Freedom of speech equals sit down, shut up... the stupid sh*t we believe in is real, and we don't need you child eating lizard people telling us any different.
