Did the cop fear for his life? If so he was in the wrong line of work.
Cops are actually trained to shoot until the threat is gone, not necessarily dead. But indeed they don’t shoot to wound….not exactly the same thing. And man it would be nice if citizens we’re given the same leeway in shootings.
Stores in SF are NOT ALLOWED to o ANYTHING if it’s under $1K (theft). I can’t imagine they can legally open carry, and I’m pretty sure it’s a “shall issue” state for concealed carry. So I’m kind of confused as to how the liquor store employee is supposed to even be able to defend himself with lethal force. The law does NOTHING to protect citizens or businesses….I’m not sure you know how this is working. The State of California has gone as far as having a handgun “roster” you’re only allowed to own certain firearms. You’re not allowed to carry ammo and firearm in the same part of the vehicle, and in SF I don’t think you’re allowed to carry a loaded firearm unless you have a concealed carry license (and again good luck with that unless you’re either a celebrity or a politician you know the people that can afford security….)
The only time lethal force is justified is when your life is in danger.
P USSIES shouldn’t be cops. Period. But they’re everywhere and they let you grab them when you’re rich and famous.
So if someone points a firearm at a LEO he should not be in fear that his life may be about to be taken? Any
sane person would be in fear for their life. They last person that anyone should want as a commission LEO is someone who thinks he’s invincible.
LEO’s are in fact taught to shoot to kill. They are taught to shoot at center of mass to cause maximum damage to major internal organs. They are issued hollow point ammunition meant to cause maximum damage without over penetrating to prevent bullets from passing through the intended target and injuring a bystander.
On the other hand, I know of no place in the US where anyone is prohibited from defending himself.
