I very excitedly won the 135 anniversary Oliva box. I have had these several times from local humidors. One of my favorites! Opened the box I won on cigar bid, and my son and I did a dry puff before lighting. We looked at each other at the same moment and said, “gasoline?”
Anyone else have a similar experience? I have nothing but excellent results from CB.com, but this was so disappointing. No response yet from the website, email, or phone calls today…

I had covid so I don't trust my sense of smell but my premo EZ shipments have smelled like the roller had a tuna sandwich for lunch before he wrapped my delicious cigars.

Maybe your roller had engine troubles for lunch?

Employees must wash their hands

Maybe they didn't get the memo?

Did you open the box immediately upon receiving it? Just wondering if it needed to "breathe" and acclimate for a short spell before ashing up?

I don't look at the auctions too much these days but out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the box?

Sounds like it could be a an environmental hazard. Send them my way and I'll arrange for proper disposal

Gasoline or diesel there is a difference of about $1.30 down here. That will affect the price of the cigars .

lol. Great responses, gang! They did go into the humidor immediately. I had not considered the ammonia angle. I really appreciate the offers to dispose of them on our behalf. However, my favorite is probably the difference in fuel prices!
