Excise tax question

Anyone who is in a state with excise tax buy a box of cigarillos? I used to buy boxes of cigarillos with my normal cigars purchases for those moments where I smoked mine faster than a buddy and need to fill the time! My question is this, my states taxes at a rate of $0.50 a cigar, if there is a box of 100 cigarillos, are they really adding $50 tax to that purchase? 100 cigarillos may only cost $40-50… with that tax and shipping and normal sales tax that would push it to over $100… is that what you saw if you purchased in an excise tax state? Just want to know more before I lock in to pay for something that is not worth it!

We can’t bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don’t go anywhere. Like the time I took the fairy to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you’d say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones.

I prefer the sweet yellow onions. Vidalia they call them down in Georgia. They call them Maui onions in Hawaii. I’m not sure what they call them in Mexico.

It’s like Dolphinfish, Dorado, and Mahi-mahi.

Not sure if you guys are replying in the proper thread, my question was about if anyone has experienced the excise tax and does it apply to the 100 count boxes of cheap cigarillos!

I think the sin tax only applies to retailers who have a physical presence within your state. What state is it?

I live in MI, I’ve paid the excise tax on boxes of 20… took my $70 box and made it $80 plus shipping and sales tax… I just don’t want to pay $50 in tax on $40 box!

It sure is.
They say it's necessary for the sake of the children.
They also say that we are going to hell for smoking cigars and drinking beer, wine and booze because it's a sin. But paying the sin taxes on tobacco and alcohol are the key to getting back into heaven

People use cigarillos to smoke weed, it’s a war on minorities just like the excess tax on menthols over Norma cigarettes. It’s the lefts new Jim Crow stuff, I hear Bido wanted an extra tax on Kool Aid over soda but that be a step too far punishing the poor.

When the DNC came for the vax papers,
I remained silent;
I was not a democrat.
When they locked up the insurrectionists,
I remained silent;
I was not a insurrectionists.
When they came for the cigarillos,
I did not speak out;
I was not a cigarillos smoker.
When they came for the Kool-aid,
I did not speak out;
I was not a mason fixing walls that a massive pitcher of Kool-aid would crash through.
When they came for ramen, there was no one left to speak out.

Ha the cigarillos is great for when you smoke that cigar faster than your buddies and the night quite ain’t over yet… bides you a few minutes… I prefer the petites vs the open ended… the 30ish ring range…
