While some of the Americans gutted out their matches others choked like they usually do in the big matches...
Why would you ever want Phil Mickelson to anchor one of your final groups??? And what is with Tiger's Ryder Cup match record???
Got to give Jim Furyk, David Duval and Paul Azinger a nod since they at least squared their matches up.
A big round of applause for David Toms and Scott Verplank for winning theirs!!

I'm still having a tough time seeing the Ryder Cup as some kind of nationalistic sporting event to get worked up about. Hell, it's not even a sport --- it's a game. Looked to me like the Euro's just played better == of course, they had 'home court' advantage and I'm sure the crowd generated incentive. Watching a bunch of millionaires with arrogant leaders like Strange calling the shots (very, very questionable strategy --- but being the arrogant self righteous person he is, he'll never accept any blame [as to Mickelson] --- give me the self righteous millionaire arrogant baseball/football players anytime.

I am a big fan of Ryder Cup events and all I can say is the USA felt that the Euros had the weakest team in years and got to big headed then choked and threw up all over themselves when pressed by the Eurpeans!

Oh really! Do you smoke a cigar while watching paint dry or simply look at the wall?

I watched paint dry several times last year ... found it less interesting than I might have imagined, in view of the publicity it gets ... for my money, watching grass grow is better, but the topper is watching them pump gas down at the gas station ... there, the guy running the place got REAL excited about the cigar I was smoking ... he sure wasn't talking all quite-like the way the announcer on the golf broadcast talks, let me tell you ...

I don't do any of those exciting things no more.
Not since our town gots one of them blinking lights down at the corner!
First it's yella, then it's not. Then it's yella again. It's a real hoot.
