Is this some 6D chess game to give some conversion therapy?

There are no electronic devices allowed on camping trips.

Not for long, the iPhone 14 will have limited satilite communication ability and Tesla is supposed to have a cellphone that uses his Star Link satillites.

OTOH, kidnapped "campers" don't have cell phones.
