I am 66...
I lived through all the cold snaps in the 1960's....the ones with 13 foot snow drifts blocking our street out front of our hut...THE BRUTAL winters from 69-78 & the WWI TRENCH SNOWS OF 1996? IN NEW CUMBERLAND, PA...ALL THE ICE STORMS OF 2000.....

This ... TODAY...is the freakin' coldest weather I have ever experienced...
Bar none...bare skin lasts not even five minutes unprotected....
I had to help a neighbor lady secure her outdoor lamp on a 5 foot chain banging the hell out of a tempered 8x10 foot entry window without gloves!!! I almost got frostbite...at 2:30 this afternoon...I stopped at a gas station to check trash grabbed lottery tickets...two lesbians from Delaware in their sixties begged for help to inflate low tires on a Honda van..all four were at 20 lbs...took 15 minutes to do all four and the guage refused to do the last stem four over 5 minutes...
Each person/ person's I helped begged to pay me...
I REFUSED... ADAMANTLY..
NO MONEY TO HELP SOMEONE IS MY MOTTO ..
I LEARNED THAT GROWING UP...
PAY IT FORWARD ..

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE...IT IS DANGEROUS OUT THEIR TONIGHT!!!

IF your car breaks down in this crap...
You could very easily DIE WITHIN ONE HOUR
TOPS!!!

BE SAFE...
STAY HOME...
TURN THE FURNACE DOWN TO 60 TO REDUCE STRESS ON THE SYSTEM...

Yeah we were 9F with -10F windchill last night. I did smoke a cigar in it. (Somewhat lol)
That was without a doubt the coldest I've ever felt.

Weather turned cold here around 4 PM. The meltdown ended and the wind chill began. Power out for over 5 hours while temps plummeted. Supposed to be down to single digits in the morning with some wind to make it feel colder.
