Being a noob, I can still keep track. Kinda.
When I had my first really good cigar, and realized I was hooked, I started saving the bands and writing little notes on em. Date, and "grades" a through f. And if there was room, maybe a detail. I started doing this before I learned of the proper terms for "tasting notes" so some read "hard pull, burnt hair" others "good cheap beer gar" and on.
I still keep track of every stick I smoke with a note on the band. Usually just a date.
To the point, got a box on my porch from cbid with about 30 cigars (just in time, only had 7 left) and wife asked why I needed 30 cigars. I explained the need to acclimate them to the proper environment before smoking and that by the time I get through the last of what I have in two to three weeks, these might just be about ready. She rolled her eyes n walked away. (She will take a puff or two and has commented some are good/bad- actually has good taste, just not interested)
TL;DR - I counted my saved bands and had 77 unique bands and 32 repeats. 109 cigars since I've learned to enjoy cigars sometime around late spring early summer 2013.
Anyone else have an approximation of how many sticks they've burned? I now have about 40 on hand (lots of open trades, hope this will increase a bit) and now that I have cleared the garage for smoking, have been burning 5 a week. Will probably slow some once the weather breaks but for now its my "fun time"
