Contradiction, Word for the Day

Dictionary definition: A fact or statement that is the opposite of what someone has said or that is so different from another fact or statement that one of them must be wrong.


Contemporary example:

A child asks her Mother: "Mom, what is a contradiction?"

Mother's Responds: Believing 18-year-olds couldn't understand their student loans, but 7-year-olds can choose their gender.
