I never met a National Park I didn't like. They all have their own unique attributes. I've been to mostly Left Coast parks, Mt. Rainier, Olympic, North Cascades, Crater Lake, Lassen, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Pinnacles, all with vistas that leave you breathless. fog

Actually, if you had altitude sickness, getting out of Dodge was the best thing to do. Also water, Tylenol and no alcohol.

That is the exact same thing my buddy called me when I talked to him and told him about it.

It is a pretty good descriptor though. Other than the few times that I go up into the Turtle Mountains (hills located north of me in ND, highest altitude is 2538 ft), I live my life between 1550 and 2030 ft.

As for state park systems, Tennessee has the nicest one I've seen. Here's an example:

I want to go to Gateway Arch National Park ‘cause it’s the smallest and then take in a Cardinals game.

I thought Glacier Bay National Park was an amazing sight. Also, somewhat terrifying when the big chunks break off and sound like a cannon shot
