I go through phases. For two solid years I was on a whiskey kick. Trying to meander my way back into beer but the best I can do is Coors, Tyskie, or Staropramen.

Bourbon.

Three or four in a somewhat regular rotation.

Jim Beam Black the standard.
Woodford Reserve Double Oak when treating myself.

Ethyl alcohol / ethanol

Wouldn't recommend trying to consume other alcohols.

I'm pretty much equal opportunity when it comes to beverage.

Beer, wine, vodka, scotch, bourbon and Irish whisky all have their place in my rotation.

A lot will depend on what I'm doing if anything, mood and time of year.

If I could only drink one for the rest of my life, it would definitely have to be beer...just because of the price point and unlimited number of options. Although, scotch is really growing on me.

I would have to say craft beer has dominated my selections for awhile now. I do seem to go through some rye whiskey as well but not so much on the bourbon anymore. I can't even remember if I have any left, might have to look since it is so cold here tonight.

I worked in the laboratory before retiring a few years ago, and I had an endless (and FREE) supply of this.

Favorite is definitely vodka (rocks, twist), but I find I have to limit myself on that. Goes down way too easily. After that it’s definitely scotch, any region.

It’s odd that I sell it, but drink very little.

Good beer is my fav
Followed by good bourbon
A close 3rd is Pinot Noir

I’ve learned to appreciate quality rums.

I feel ya Spey. I’m always down for a social drink, but I hardly ever have anything at the house. If I do, it’s typically wine with a nice meal.
I’ve tried countless Chards and just can’t find one I enjoy.

Hope the rum is great. They can offer just as much character(if not more) than bourbon. Give Appleton Estate a try or Rhum Barbancourt (from Haiti). They are very different but really tasty.

I've had Havana Club before in Dominica and loved it... Bought a bottle in Cozumel and I swear it wasn't the same... I wondered if they have fake rum as well as fake cigars... Mellow

There are two different types of Havana Club.

I don’t recall all of the story, but one is not the original.

I wondered if they added a simple syrup to the rum I had in Dominica.. I ordered it on da rocks not just a shot.. the bottle I bought definitely wasn't what I had befo... The age could be the difference also... The Barbados rum I bought is ten years old. I should go ahead and break the seal... Think

No one particular favorite but within the categories:

Beer - Porters, stouts, lagers, ales but will drink basically anything other than IPAs and sours

Wine - more of a white guy

Clear - vodka but because my wife likes gin & tonics, will have one with her

Brown - bourbon, definitely bourbon

Gin, French Citadelle, but Kyro from Finland and Jaisalmer from India are good too.

Single Malt Rye Whiskey from Kyro in Finland is fantastic.

Good Champagne is not a bad thing either, but it'll probably cost north of $70 to get me excited. I do not know names, but I have had a couple of flues of a one Champagne that was $200 a bottle at a wine tasting, it was really really good.

Varies from time to time. Bourbon, Single malt scotch, brandy and rum. Beer has been way down in consumption as I have trouble finding my preferred beer and only drink it with Mexican meals and some non sugar snacks.

My favorite is still wine, though I mix in much more sipping hard liquer, neat or a few drips to open it up. I have been exploring Mezcal's lately. As far as wine in whites I have been exploring Italy, in reds I have been revisiting Spain.

When I was drinking, my fav was beer. Stout, porter, bock, IPA. Also liked a good Gin & tonic or vodka tonic now and again with a lime.

I'm not a connoisseur of wines but leaned to the dry wines. My first pick for a red would be a merlot. First pick for a white would be a dry riesling. Although I don't drink anymore, when a recipe calls for wine, I don't hesitate to add it. It adds flavor that another liquid cant replace. NEVER, NEVER, EVER use cooking wine - any drinking wine you pick will be better than the any cooking wine (cooking wine = super sucky wine with salt and $hit added).

Beer is the overall favorite. Stouts & porters or lagers & pilsners

Tequila for hard stuff usually, but some days rum takes the top spot

When I do wine, I prefer the farm types... rhubarb and blueberry and such. And mead. Mead is good stuff
