I just found out about this site a few days ago, and I must say, its awesome Applause I've already spent a good bit of money Anxious just curious though, when you buy like a whole box of 20 or whatever, does the box actually come to you as well? Also, do you pay shipping for each purchase you've made or is it like a base (example) $6.95 for everything all together? Herfing

Box is a box.

Bundle or Mazo is no box.

Read the shipping.......and welcome aboard. Please look for people who overbid and post threads here, also start a cello on/off thread, search "Thonginator" and ask Jaderose out.

Aloha! I'm a newbie too but my best advice to you is to take it slow and easy. As already mentioned, don't overbid. If you see something today, odds are you'll see it again next week or the week after. Do some research (...something I sometimes forget to do...) so that you know how much is the correct going rate. Trust me, you don't wanna "live and learn" by paying $10 for a $5 stick. Not that I have...err, okay, I have.... Brick wall

Another thing, watch the end dates of the bids if you can. You don't want to have 2 or 3 winning items end on Wednesday but have one end on Friday. It means you'll have a shipment coming one week and a shipment to follow so in your mind you'll think that you may as well bid on more items to make it more cost effective (...as far as shipping charges are concerned...). So you bid on more items, win some and feel like you're saving money...but you're not. All you end up doing is giving CBid more money.

Good luck, enjoy your smokes and see you around.

Welcome! Bid on items ending ahead of payday. Don't bid on anything until next winter. All the yuppies are paying msrp for smokes right now especially fuente fuente and baitfish.
Don't ask for advice on daily smokes on the cheap as you will be directed to buy anything over 8 bucks a stick. It's believed by the sheep that more money equals better smokes. And most important no body will tell you what a good smoke on the cheap is if its currently on auction. Oh yeah, don't buy the mega samplers unless you like burning hair and fertilizer ( Ron Mexico )Sarcasm

I believe this is correct. Something about General Cigar not wanting the line sold at auction.

Try cigarsinternational, famous-smoke or atlanticcigar for the red dots.

I remember the first time I had a red dot cohiba. I was on a boat in the Gulf of Tadjoura after a beautiful day swimming with whale sharks and snorkeling. It's unfortunate that I brought that smoke to enjoy because it was probably one of the worst I have ever had. It was like smoking rolled up grocery bag to me. Good luck with the search.

Is CI really a competitor? Ci, cbid, and cigar.com are all based out of the same building and products ship from the same address. I think all three might have the same parent company.
