Pasta and meatballs here, salad and then Cherry Caramel Walnut pie.

Spey must be on a budget as I didn't see any caviar.

Didn’t do anything special for dinner since we celebrated Valentine’s Day with a lunch on Monday with our daughter and SIL. At the sushi restaurant, Katsu Midori, to the best of my memory, we had:

Crab - aka Kani miso
Fatty tuna - aka Otoro
Medium fatty tuna - aka Chutoro
Monkfish liver - aka Ankimo
Salmon roe - aka Ikura
Sea urchin - aka Uni (wife and daughter only)
Seared mackerel
Sweet shrimp (2x) - aka Ame ebi
Yellowtail - aka Hamachi

Had a couple more but forgot what they were.

Also had:

Suntory beer (wife and I)
Kona coffee jelly (wife’s dessert)
A scoop of some sort of frozen vanilla yogurt (me)

We were all filled up and couldn’t eat another bite.

Mmmmmmm... Hamachi.

I miss catching those. Don't have them over here. Sad

Whenever we go to a sushi restaurant, I order hamachi sashimi rather than sushi. Same with chutoro or otoro. I’d rather eat the good stuff without the rice filling me up…but, since we were being treated, I let our treaters pick out the food.

exactly, and in most places the bill isn't significantly more for sashimi...so skip the rice...

Delta, caviar or trout eggs don't taste particularly good.
