What makes a cigar firm and solid yet easy draw?

I'm smoking a Tabernacle and loving the solid firmness of these cigars. They have an easy draw yet are super firm. I like it. Obviously if a cigar is rolled loose it will have an easy draw but every Foundation cigar I've tried and many other higher end cigars are firm yet easy draw. If a cigar is rolled really tight it will be firm but not necessarily easy draw. I wonder how they make it so firm yet still easy draw. Does it have something to do with the curing process?

Combination of factors…
-Torcedero’s skill level and type of roll
-RH of the cigar
-type of tobacco for binder and filler, and to a lesser extent, the wrapper

I have some 8+yo Jaime Garcia Robs that are PACKED, and heavy, and burn slow and perfect, with an efforless draw.
On the other hand, most of the Padrons I’ve had are quite “light”, yet feel firm, and burn perfect, with a perfect draw.

Just so many variables involved, it makes me appreciate the brands that consistently crank out cigars that taste good and burn properly.
Some cigars that, in my experience are well packed, yet draw easily and burn well include:
LFD, Sobremesa, Jaime Garcia, most Tats, MF Le Bijou, others…

Thanks for the list. Just when I thought I didn't need to buy more cigars for about a year or so I'm going to have to test out some Jaime Garcia. The Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial looks good and pretty descent price. I think I'll buy a box now.

I think the top two variables is the torcedero’s skill level for rolling the cigar and the RH at the time you smoke it.

Solid construction, smooth draw, cool & even burn are signs of a nice cigar that's worth buying again (assuming the flavors and body are in your wheel house).

I'm gonna give some credit to the bunchers as well as the rollers. Teamwork makes the dream work

This always depends if they are rolled on the thighs of a beautiful virgin or a hairy ole fat guy.

Bunching technique and humidity are the 2 biggest factors.

As long as DrafterX hasn’t sat on them.

I'm going with being rolled on the thighs of busty virgins.

Change my mind

I'm thinking rolled on the thighs of 30 something year old busty hotties. Like fine wine and cigars somethings get better with age.
