^ Don't know just yet Gene.. I would say it will finish out just like Ash?

It's not a soft hardwood thats for sure.. just about if not tougher then the Ash to plane...

We planed off little over 125 bdft of lumber today... and I got wood bugers LOL

Kind of large file.. but a better close up of this wood...

Almost Exotic if you ask me...

I love this special stuff... but every damn bit of it is American Grown (Midwest) and American Made ;0)~~~~

Most all my work is with "Thans"

doing Humi's though I finish with Shellac only.. inside and out.. then line with Spanish Cedar..

No I'm not taking orders on these as I've been backed up on Artwork for these for at least 4 yrs and trying to get the last and only two out to my friends...

Hog, you ever try polishing your finishes? Not sure if it works with the water-based stuff (or any of the two-parts), but it is beautiful on nitrocellulose and oil polyurethane. It is somewhat time consuming, though, but it is an unbeatable appearance.

That would make a nice guitar body wood with some quilted maple on top.
