I am a pipe smoker just getting into good cigars. I smoke black cavandish in the pipe. Can anyone suggest some good cigars for me to try? I have tried some of the maduro's snd find them pretty good.

you can never go wrong with a monte cristo, and they are mild.

partagas series s, any size, i prefer the exquisito because of it's large size.

hemmingway by fuente never gets a bad response from anyone.

i have just tried onyx mini belicoso and they are excellent. i find all the onyx are excellent.

as a former pipe smoker for ten or fiteen years i recomend Knock-Offs Bass Master because you might enjoy the aroma.

if you email me your physical address, i'll send some things for you to try. we try to take care of our "newbies"

imho padron, la gloria cubana, and onyx reserve are really good "middle of the road" priced maddies.

btw, welcome aboard!

... try Drew Estate's 'Pimp Stick' ... it's blended with Dutch pipe tobacco ...

Agree with CJBully, and would add Excalibur to his listing!

...or the Drew Estates natural Green Hero. it contains latakia tobacco.

You might try a Fuente 8-5-8 Maduro. $3-3.50 a stick. Good place to start, mild with alot of flavour.

My wife, who loves my pipe smoking in the house, will only let me smoke an Acid Blondie indoors. Enough Patchoulie perfume to sweeten the medium strength smoke.

See if you can get your hands on the La Luna Maduro Fuerte line. The little Colada will kick your but and the big Climax is strong but, oh so flavorful.

I smoked a pipe for years, but it's been quite a while back ... smoked very little black cavandish, but I think with that taste, you're far more likely to prefer a maduro in whatever line you try ...

Too many good cigars ... not all are expensive, either ... Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Maduro and Onyx Reserve Maduro are a couple that come quickly to mind.
El Rico Habana and Camacho are a couple more ... the list, as I say, is a long one.

ERH? Steve, are you trying to kill the man?!

Well, if he's smoking a black cavendish, he's got some pretty well developed taste buds ... my guess is the ERH won't kill him ... it sure doesn't hold a candle to that Joya de Nicaragua Antano you and others have spoken of in another thread ... I tried one of those today and the damn thing pretty nearly blew my hair back ... had I recommended that one, I could more accurately been accused of trying to kill the poor guy ... lol

Problems again with my hotmail from home ... I'll be sending a note to you in the morning, JR ... bet you could even guess the subject matter ...

Thnx to you all for the suggestions. I certainly have some ideas for new cigars to try. I think I am going to have a Montague #3 Corona Maduro right now. I will have to try these other ones as soon as I get the chance. Thnx again
